BiographyElena was born in Moscow on May 16th. Graduated from Music School of the Academic Music School of Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (1990-1998; class of Olga Mechetina), Academic Music College of Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory (1998-2002; class of Olga Mechetina). In 2007 Elena graduated from Moscow Conservatory magna cum laude and entered graduate school in the class of Professor Dorensky and Professor Nersessian. Elena Tarasova: Elena Tarasova is a laureate of international piano competitions: Elena Tarasova is also the author and manager of a number of projects, the most important of which is the Festival «110 years of Francis Poulenc» (Moscow, December 25, 2008 - Aprile, 25, 2009). Elena has been giving performances on tours all over Russia (she has visited over 60 cities) and participating in international festivals abroad (France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Japan) since 1999. In 2006 she was awarded with the diploma and the honor title of «Laureate of the 8th Artiade of the Peoples of Russia» «for high performance technique, victories at international competitions and important work on propaganda of classical musical heritage». In May 2006 Elena Tarasova was honored with the possibility to represent Moscow State Conservatory at the famous Kyoto International Music Students Festival 2006 (Japan). The pianist’s repertoire includes musical compositions since the baroque period until the 20th century. Elena plays solo concerts in Moscow and other Russian cities, takes part in musical meetings with foreign guests. Elena has performed on the stages of famous concert halls, such as: Great, Small, Rachmaninov halls of Moscow Conservatory, Christ Savior Cathedral, Vrubel Hall of Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow); Steinway-Haus (Duesseldorf), Ballsaal Altes Kurhaus Aachen (Aachen), Germany; Narodny Dom Vinogrady (Mayakovsky Concert Hall) and Bethlehem Chapel in Prague; Kioi Hall (Tokyo), NHK Osaka Hall (Osaka), Alti Hall and Kyoto Concert Hall (Kyoto), Shirakawa Hall (Nagoya), Tohoku Fukushi University, Music Palace «Keyaki Hall» (Sendai). Elena Tarasova is the holder of the Diploma of Summer Academy «Mozarteum» (Salzburg, Austria, 2003) and of the Diploma «Musical Spring at the Mill» (Moulin d'Ande, France, 2005). Elena is also a successful participant of different chamber ensembles, she has a large chamber music repertoire. |
